Jamie Walton, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Austin, Texas
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide compassionate support to
individuals, couples, and families. Whether you are worried that your relationship is in trouble, loss of purpose, overwhelmed with sadness, or feel stressed, I will walk with you through the process of discovery and change, helping you gain insight and awareness.
My choice to become a marriage and family therapist was inspired by my own journey and life experiences. I feel counseling is what I was meant to do with my life. I find joy in helping my clients connect with their strengths and resources to develop the skills and confidence to create a more fulfilling and balanced life.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas Permian Basin, and received a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona. I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and have completed Level One of Gottman Method of Counseling Couples training. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, American Association of Christian Counselors, and The International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
